Phase IV
Phase four of DPN’s Rapid response fund has focused on increasing attention, education, support, and navigation services to households who are bearing the disproportionate burden of the COVID-19 virus through the mitigation of barriers associated with vaccine receipt.
Since initiating the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund in May 2020, more than 60% of funds connected households holding mono-lingual members or speak English as their second language. In response to community needs for multilingual resources and information, all services, information, and materials are provided to the household in their language of choice.
As part of phase four, our goal has been to continue these efforts by supporting each household electing to receive information, access, and navigation support to COVID-19 vaccinations. Through the use of rideshare credits and transportation assistance resources, each household electing to receive navigation services in accessing COVID-19 vaccinations can travel to and from scheduled appointments in a safe, supportive and responsive manner.
